FoxTrack vs Printago: Which Fits a Small Print Farm?
September 29, 2026 · Caleb Ellis
Printago and FoxTrack solve different halves of a print farm. Printago gets a store order onto a printer: it slices the job, picks a printer and tracks the print. FoxTrack runs the business: orders from every channel, stock by location, quotes, invoices, expenses and reports, with live printer status. If your problem is the print room, try Printago first. If it is everything around it, try FoxTrack.
We build FoxTrack, so read this with that in mind. We checked Printago's own website on 25 September 2026. Its changelog lists ten updates in August and September 2026 alone, so check it before you decide.
What Printago is for
Printago calls itself a "Commerce OS for 3D print farms". It automates the path from order to print:
- It takes orders from Shopify and Etsy. Its changelog added eBay orders on 12 September 2026 and WooCommerce orders on 21 September 2026.
- It slices each job in the cloud and routes it to a printer with the right material loaded.
- It can make print files from what a customer asks for, such as engraved text or a custom size.
- It tracks finished product stock as parts print and orders ship, and its reports cover reliability, throughput, material use and profit.
- Its pricing page says you can connect unlimited printers for free, with one free production slot. A slot is one job running at a time, and paid plans add slots.
We found no quotes, invoices or customer records on its site.
What FoxTrack is for
FoxTrack is the record of the whole shop, with the print room as one part:
- Orders from every channel in one list. Shopify, Etsy and WooCommerce orders come in by themselves on the Farm plan. That sync is new and marked Beta. Orders from markets, messages and your own site go in with New order, or in bulk with Import CSV.
- Stock by location. Products have variants and a bill of materials. Finished stock is kept per sales channel, so an Etsy sale takes stock from the Etsy shelf, not from your market box. A replenishment run moves stock from your default stock pool back to a channel.
- Filament spools with their remaining weight, so you know what is on the shelf.
- Quotes and invoices for custom jobs. Material, electricity and labor costs feed the quote price, and an accepted quote becomes an order in one step.
- Customers, expenses, maintenance schedules and reports, so you can see what each month earned and cost.
- Live printer status through FoxTrack Bridge, a small agent on your shop network. It shows progress, temperatures and camera snapshots, and has pause, resume and stop buttons. On Pro and Farm it can also send a sliced file to a printer. Bridge works with Klipper printers and Bambu Lab printers.
Where Printago is stronger
- Getting prints started. Printago slices and sends jobs to printers by itself. FoxTrack does not slice. You attach a file you sliced yourself to a product, then pick a printer and press Print.
- eBay. Printago takes eBay orders. FoxTrack does not.
- A free plan for any number of printers, as long as one job at a time is enough.
- A newer store sync on our side. FoxTrack's Shopify, Etsy and WooCommerce sync opened in September 2026 and is still marked Beta.
Where FoxTrack is stronger
- The money side. Quotes, invoices, customers and expenses sit next to the orders. We found none of these on Printago's site.
- Custom work as well as products. A one-off job for a local customer uses the same quote, order and invoice flow as a store order.
How to choose
- Write down where your hours went last week: slicing and starting prints on one side, stock, quotes, invoices and messages on the other.
- If most of it was the print room, try Printago first. Automatic slicing and dispatch save the most time when you print the same products all day.
- If most of it was around the print room, try FoxTrack first. Stock counts, restocking a market stall, quoting custom jobs and chasing invoices are what it is for.
- Check your printers. FoxTrack Bridge connects Klipper and Bambu Lab printers. Other printers can still be listed in FoxTrack, without live status. Check Printago's site for the printers it supports.
- Check your channels. If eBay matters to you, Printago has it and FoxTrack does not.
- Check stock by place. If you sell the same product from several shelves, such as Etsy, markets and stockists, see how each tool keeps stock for each place. FoxTrack keeps it per sales channel.
- Test with a week of real orders. A comparison on paper never shows the step that annoys you most.

Questions
Is Printago free?
Its pricing page says you can connect unlimited printers for free, with one production slot (one job running at a time). Paid plans add slots. Check their pricing for today's numbers.
Does FoxTrack send jobs to my printers?
Yes, on Pro and Farm, but you press the button. FoxTrack does not slice. You slice in your own slicer, attach the file to a product, then pick a Klipper or Bambu Lab printer and press Print. A Bambu Lab printer must be in LAN Only Mode with Developer Mode on. Bridge also shows live status and has pause, resume, stop and light buttons.
Does FoxTrack sync Etsy and Shopify orders?
Yes, on the Farm plan, and WooCommerce too. The sync is marked Beta. Each order files under its sales channel, and a line whose SKU matches one of your product variants takes stock from that channel.
Can I use Printago and FoxTrack together?
Yes. Printago runs the printers and FoxTrack runs the orders, stock and money. The two do not connect to each other, but on FoxTrack's Farm plan both read the same Shopify, Etsy or WooCommerce orders by themselves, so nobody types an order twice. Send tracking from one place only, so the customer gets one shipping email. If you try it, run a week of test orders first and check that stock and invoices come out right.
How we checked
We read Printago's own website on 25 September 2026 and link to the pages we used. Where we say we found no feature, we looked for it and did not find it: it may exist, or it may arrive later. Check Printago's site before you decide. FoxTrack is not affiliated with Printago, and Printago is its owner's trademark. If anything here is wrong or out of date, email info@foxtrack.studio and we will correct it.
