Plans and billing

The Free, Pro and Farm plans, the exact limits of each, what happens when you reach one, billing periods, upgrading, managing or cancelling a subscription.

Available plans

There are three plans. Free is for getting started and never expires. Pro is for a working shop: unlimited orders, quotes and invoices, reports, the AI assistant, Bridge and CloudSlicer3D, with higher caps on printers, spools, products and inventory. Farm (called Enterprise until September 2026) removes the caps, adds seats and a second workspace, white labeling, Shopify, Etsy and WooCommerce order sync, and the Developer tab. Your current plan is shown at the top of Settings → Billing and on the Pricing page.

Plan limits

The exact limits per plan, as enforced by the app:

  • Free: 1 printer, 10 spools, 5 products, 10 inventory items, 10 orders per month, 1 team seat, 1 workspace. Quotes and invoices: no. Reports: no. AI assistant: no. FoxTrack Bridge: no. Orders per month reset on the first of each calendar month. The Developer tab (API keys and webhooks), White labeling and store order sync (Shopify, Etsy and WooCommerce) need the Farm plan. Prices and billing periods are listed on the Pricing page and under Settings → Billing.

What happens when you reach a limit

FoxTrack tells you which limit you reached and blocks adding more of that thing; nothing is deleted and everything you have stays editable. Either remove what you no longer need or upgrade. After a downgrade the same rule applies: existing records over the new cap stay, but you cannot add more until you are under it. Features that need a higher plan (creating quotes and invoices, Reports, the assistant) show an upgrade notice; existing quotes and invoices remain viewable and editable.

Billing periods and checkout

Pro and Farm can be paid monthly or yearly. Lifetime plans are no longer sold; a workspace that bought one keeps it, and Billing shows Lifetime access. On Free, Settings → Billing → Change plan lets the owner pick a plan and period and takes them to Polar, FoxTrack's payment provider and merchant of record, to pay by card. The new plan applies as soon as the payment is confirmed, usually within a minute; reload the page if it has not updated. Choosing a plan on the public Pricing page works too: Upgrade to Pro or Upgrade to Farm carries the plan and the period you picked (monthly or yearly) into FoxTrack, through sign-up and the shop setup if you are new. Billing then opens checkout for that plan by itself (Opening checkout for Farm, billed yearly). When it cannot, because you are not the owner, the workspace already has that plan, or you are moving from Pro to Farm (use Manage billing), Billing says why in one line. On Pro, open Manage billing to switch to Farm; the portal handles the change and the difference is billed from today. A lifetime Pro plan cannot be switched from the portal: Billing says Lifetime Pro cannot be switched from the portal, with an Email support link, and we move it to Farm by hand (write to info@foxtrack.studio).

Managing or cancelling a subscription

Manage billing under Settings → Billing opens your Polar customer portal, where you update the card, download receipts, or cancel. A cancelled subscription keeps its features until the end of the paid period, and Billing shows the date; the workspace then returns to Free with all data intact. Only the workspace owner can change or cancel the plan. The portal belongs to the person who bought the plan (their card, their receipts), so when a workspace has more than one owner, only the one who bought it can open Manage billing; the others see who manages billing. If your workspace's plan is covered by another workspace's subscription (Farm owners get a second workspace), Billing says so and the plan is managed from the workspace it was bought in. If your plan was granted to you rather than bought, Billing says no billing is connected, and there is no Manage billing button.
